"Primping" ain't easy...

I'm not sure why I do it, or why I can't stop, but I'm totally obsessed with looking at myself in the mirror..I mean seriously, am I suddenly expecting that I will change looks from day to day?? And not only is this weird habit bad enough, I can't even do it with a straight face.. Ever since I can remember, I've been told that I make a funny face every time I look into a mirror, or glance into a reflection.. it's actually kinda silly, but I can't seem to shake the habit. You might be asking yourself why in the world would Tim come back after a 6 month vacation from the blog, and start out by writing about a weird habit he possesses, rather than write about his beautiful and loving wife that shares so much about him.... Well, it's kinda simple actually, she will think this is hilarous. And that's why I'm writing it.. To make her laugh, to make her smile, and to make her feel loved. She deserves it. She is my one true blessing that God gives me every single day, and her happiness is my motivator.. I love you baby!

Another Morning without an Arm!

You know this is the second morning I have woken up without that wonderful arm or leg snuggled up next to me and it sucks! I am ready for Tim to come home. Life is not the same without him in this city with me. I believe he called me at 2:30 this morning to tell me he loved me and that he couldn't go to sleep without me! I love him and I am so blessed to have him in my life! I even went back to bed this morning because I was so cold and restless trying to sleep last night. I heard every noise in the house last night and even had to get up and turn off the lava lamps in Dakota's room because I knew that in the rare occasion they would catch fire Tim would hear that before me and he wasn't here. I had to take care of that. There is simply nothing else like our protector being at home with us...(Dakota's words!)

I got a phone call about 8:30 and it was my dad! He was stopping by to see me! I made him coffee and he made my day just to stop by for 15 minutes and show me that I was important. Thank you Daddy.

Well...I guess I will start another day at work. Wonder what is on the Food Network!

Mornings without You

Happy December! Our Charlie Brown Christmas tree is decorated in the living room. Presents are wrapped and it is cold! There is nothing better than a garage with doors that close and a working fireplace! Warming up the house in the morning is a great way to start the day!
Thanksgiving was a great feast of turkey and more turkey! We are so blessed to have the family that we do.
Tim is on his first official business trip learning to take the reigns and become a great managing team leader....something greater...I didn't think that was possible because I already think he is awesome! He is in cold Tennessee this morning and let me just say I don't like sleeping or waking up without him. There is something about waking up and finding that warm leg or arm to throw over me in the wee hours of the morn. Not this morning. I didn't need to make coffee because he is the only one that drinks it in the morning. I almost made a pot just to have the smell in the kitchen. I could have left the coffee in the pot and maybe he could rewarm it when he gets home tomorrow? Nay..... I miss him....miss his first Good Morning to me.....miss the way he dresses for work....miss morning conversation like, "Where are my keys?.....Honey have you seen my wallet?.....Will you make me a turkey sandwich for lunch?" I even miss the wet towel laying on the bed. Can you believe it? It is the little things in life that make comfortability mean the most. Not complacency but the difference to recognize love and belonging to mundane life.......that does not exist in this house! LOVE happens Here BABY!
I miss you Honey and I am praying for a successful trip with a warm arm wrapped around me again in the wee morning of Thursday. I love you!

Little Things Mean a Lot - To my husband

Blow me a kiss from across the room
Say I look nice when I'm not
Touch my hair as you pass my chair
Little things mean a lot
Give me your arm as we cross the street
Call me at six on the dot
A line a day when you're far away
Little things mean a lot
Don't have to buy me diamonds or pearls
'cause honestly, honey, they just cost money
Give me a hand when I've lost the way
Give me your shoulder to cry on
Whether the day is bright or gray
Give me your heart to rely on
Send me the warmth of a secret smile
To show me you haven't forgot
For now and forever, that's always and ever
Honey,little things mean a lot!

These lyrics are exactly the way you make me feel. Thank you for such an awesome time last night! There is nothing better than the precious time we spent together reading the Bible, laughing, destroying me in UNO and watching you get eaten by a shark!
I love you!

Update

In the last month we have :
*Enjoyed the most wonderful wedding reception at Kearney Island! All of our friends and family joined us in celebrating our marriage. It all started with a true Hawaiian horn blow and fabulous Kearney BBQ. We are so blessed to have so many people who love and pray for us!
*Changed jobs more than once (both of us!)
*Spent a fabulous weekend in Boston while the Red Sox were winning their way into the World Series. The weather called for flip flops and shorts in October. We walked through the park, had a romantic dinner in the Italian North End and flew on a plane that shook every time someone sneezed! Boston is a great town! We walked everywhere we went and had the BEST sushi ever! Thank you Ben and Chrissy!
*Met Baby Addison.....so cute and cuddly and what great parents he has!
*Spent the day at the Gastonia Museum with the kids. We watched a planetarium movie about aliens that is Tim's favorite! The kids had a great weekend together. They play better and better with each other!
*Trick or treated as Darth Vador, a Pirate wench and a guy....guess who the guy was :)
*Fell in love with my husband every day...more and more!
*Watched some Cherryville football, Tiny Knight cheerleaders and lots of college and pro football...By the way I am still leading the Fantasy Football League...I believe Tim is 6th or 7th! Funny how that works!
The time is changing tonight. Now there is more darkness which hopefully will mean more time alone in front of the fireplace for cuddling and movie watching. Our life is truly blessed. Thank you God for blessing our family so much!

What a MONTH!

Where did September go? And where did Tim go?
He is still around excited about his new position with a new company. Today he stayed home to tend to the clumsy me who slipped on some water at work yesterday and in the Doctor's terms is dealing with "excessive bruising." Fun ! I hate pain and I am a true wuss. So God Bless my sweetheart because he puts up with me!
Let' s see September brought a beach vacation with our kids. It was so fun! We stayed at the Landmark Resort and the kids had a blast in the waterpark and on site putt putt course. The weather was great, we ate great and the kids were great!
We traveled to App for a hot and sweaty win over Lenoir Rhyne. That was a great day trip for us to get away, watch some football and eat some of the best bbq!
Thanks to all who came to the Dakota and Bethany's birthday party this past weekend! Stowe park turned out to be booked and so Owens Park worked out well.
And, Yes, we had hot dogs again!
We especially thank BABA for the ice we continued to munch on for 2 days afterwards and look forward to you and Grandma traveling South in hopes of more crunchy fire department ice!
Until next time.....

Love

Lots of ways that Tim shows me he loves me:
*writes me sweet love letters and emails
*sings songs on my voicemail that he makes up on his own
*takes care and loves my son
*makes time to snuggle on the couch for movie time
*plans a date night
*says he is sorry and means it
*tells me he loves me every time we talk on the phone and every time we have to part
*the way he looks at me
*tries his best to teach me to wink
*kisses me and tells me Good Morning
*makes me fried eggs
*sings to me as we travel down the road
*makes me apart of golf, football leagues, and softball games
*dances like a crazy man because he knows I love it and it makes me laugh
*holds my hand
*hand washes all of the dishes that don't fit the dishwasher because he knows I don't like to do it
*tells me how beautiful I am
*provides for us by working hard during the day and at night
*is always on my side
*lets me beat him at card and board games (wait that one I put in for him...Oreo sandwiches!)

I could go on and on but I did this because I am the most blessed woman in the world and I wish that everyone could feel love like I feel it because there is absolutely nothing else like it!
Thank you baby for making me feel love like this!
I love you!!!!

Who Knew!

Wednesday August, 22, 2007 I send an email to my beloved about the rising cost of insurance. He replies,".....don't worry about it because you are coming back from this weekend married!"
Wahoo! What a proposal! Gatlinburg, Tennessee could not have been a more perfect place for our wedding on the side of a mountain! Thanks to mom, John, Cathy, Opie and hot stuff Jackson for being by our sides and watching us become husband and wife!
Memorable moments:
Bears in the backyard, Toasting after our wedding with Miller Lite Cans, Zooming past my new hubby and beating him on a go cart track, winning 240 quarters at Harrah's, Tim riding the Gatlinburg bull, our saloon pics, Bull!@%*, no really BullFish was our after wedding luncheon that was fabulous, exchanging rings on a mountain top that promised I would love and honor him forever, that "you may kiss your bride kiss", the sweat that ran down my back while I jiggled my toes and Tim swayed back and forth, driving home knowing how blessed we are to have each other, and every other moment that puts a smile on my face when I think about spending everyday of my life with my best friend!
I love you more than anything Tim!

Away!

Oh we are going away on vacation this weekend and I don't know where we are going but I am so excited to know that we are getting to go somewhere! Plans...who needs plans just the thought of sleeping in a strange bed and not knowing what's for breakfast is so exciting!!! I love vacations and times away especially with you know who...the guy who is MIA on the Tim and Ashley blog! Years and Years from now we will be senile and more forgetful than we are now and I will be glad that I stuck with keeping our life in remembrance through this biased opinionated based site! Where else can I think and write exactly what I want to! Power baby!
Highlights from last week:
Ashley's corn hushpuppies
Tim's sesame grilled chicken
Will's 4th Birthday Party
Kids in the outdoor irrigation sprinkler system
More love from a wondeful man than I have ever known!

I wonder?

Where did Tim go????
I am sitting at the kitchen table watching him type and he doesn't even realize it!

Sunday, August 12, 2007

It is Sunday again!

The days and weeks fly by. I get up, go to work, come home and eat and back to bed. I can't believe that Tim and I have been together for 5 months now. A few blinks from now it will turn into 5 years and I hope that I am living and caring and making a difference in his life everyday so that when 5 years gets here it won't be a series of blinks but a mindful of memories.

This past week has been hot, HOT, HOT! Last night (Sat) before the first Panther game of the season I sat out on our back patio. Peaceful, slight breeze......I closed my eyes and I was at the beach. No sand and definitely no water but peacefulness. Time to think about everything with no interruptions. It is not often that true peacefulness and bliss enter my mind!

A big HUGE thank you to our personal handyman John! Blessings come in all shapes and sizes and John and Mom have been a HUGE blessing to us! The kids now have wonderful ceiling fans in their rooms! It used to be rather warm but as I sit and type this blog I am quite chilly! Thanks to you John!! We love your persistence of hanging mirrors just the right way. We would have sat it aside and waited until another day to put it up......well that is a lie because if we couldn't have done it we would have waited for you John! I am most grateful that we can pay you back in the form of Lexington BBQ!

2 weeks from tomorrow school starts back for all of our little ones. Early mornings and early bedtimes will begin. Schedules will be in high gear.....I can't wait until the next holiday!
'till next time......

2 weeks and no posts!

We must be a bunch of slackers! But life is very busy with the kids, softball games (thanks for coming out NaNa), concerts (Brad Paisley was great for what we remember of it!), and movies. Our movie couch time is the best thing we do each day! This Thursday it is off to see Kenny Chesney! I guarantee this will be a great concert with lots of friends!
We had our first game night this past weekend. It was great smoking all of you in Last Word but everybody got me back when I was stuck on the 2 sets of 4's for 7 rounds! If you don't know what I am talking about come over and I will show you! Game night was great and I hope we can have another one really soon!
By the way baby....Yes your chest is getting huge and no matter what you say I like you in the wild turkey shirt!

Thursday, July 19, 2007

I'm still Here...

First off, Sorry. Sorry for being such a slacker that I can take 10 minutes out of my day to write a couple thoughts down. I know, some may say it’s laziness, but not me.. I think of it as keeping people in waiting.. It’s fun.. J Sorry, mom! Sorry, baby! You know I love you both! You two are probably the only ones reading this anyway…

Anyway, I want to say having your own home again, and not having to live in a cramped up, bug infested, 900 square foot apartment is like being a kid again on Christmas morning. So exciting and refreshing to come home from work, pull in my nice 2-car garage, and be able to crank my surround sound during movies, and not have to worry about the neighbors beating on the wall beside me! The kids love it to, especially since they can actually go outside and enjoy a yard, and a nice one at that! Thanks to my new in ground irrigation system.. okay, I’m starting to brag a little too much… but can you tell I’m excited!!!

Let change gears a minute…Anyone ever ponder this thought… I do all the time..

What if you could be blessed with one talent that you currently don’t possess what would it be?

Mine, hands down, to be able to sing and play a piano, much to the likeness of Nate Sallie. His music has inspired me so much over the last week since I downloaded his CD. His music and lyrics speak deep into my heart. And I have mad respect for him as an artist, b/c he took the gift God bestowed upon him and used it to glorify His name. Every song he sings, speaks of the glory and grace of our Savior.

I enjoy Christian music so much. If only more people would take the time to listen to some of the artists they would be amazed. So many criticize and stereotype the music by thinking it’s all “churchy” and “not for them”… For those people, I try suggest trying out:

Jeremy Camp
Skillet
Brandon Heath
Shawn McDonald
Bebo Norman
Red

Just give these artists a try. You might just be amazed at what you hear….

And to my baby, I love you! Thanks for the trip to AtlantaFest to see some of these amazing artists, and rocking out with me at home! You rock, Christian music rocks, and GOD ROCKS!!! Let’s keep rocking!!

Update

Well life is great! Oatmeal and tea still wake me up in the morning. We are meeting more and more of our neighbors. I can't believe we have been here almost 4 weeks! A HUGE Duke flag hangs in front of our house and we have all of the furniture! Very soon we are planning to have a mexican or italian or well we just like good food game night~! Maybe we will have a grilling game night!
I really enjoyed game night last weekend at Nana and John's because sometimes luck falls my way and I win! But to my sweetheart who always wins at everything.....you are a fabulous teacher and have taught me the tricks to keep winning! The best thing about all of the games we play is spending time with you!
We are so blessed with everything we have in our lives. I am so thankful that we both put God first and trust in Him. I know that by following His word we will be amazed at the blessings He has in store for us! I sit and think about our lives as we know them now and think only 6 months ago that I only dreamed of finding someone special! I am so excited about our future because look at the awesome man God had in store for me all along!

Ladies...the men love it and if you gave it a chance you may have something else to do together that allows you more special time and ...it's FUN!

What a great weekend!

Thanks to all of our friends and family who came out for a great BBQ Housewarming on Friday evening. The homemade BBQ was fabulous! We were wondering if the recipe was a secret or if we could have that emailed? Our backyard was full of chairs, neighbors and friends sharing stories, making plans for football season and trying to get KerryAnne the right directions to the house! We got some many nice gifts including dishes, towels, wine, gift cards, a sweeper and more! For those of you who couldn't make it please come over and see this incredible house God has blessed our family with!
This was our first weekend with all of our kids together under our new roof! They all think the house is "Big" and "cool with neighbors to play with!" We can't wait to get the rest of our furniture in this week. Everyone will soon have their own bed to sleep in!
We had another birthday lunch on Saturday so the kids could celebrate with Tim. We went all out and made an awesome lunch of chicken nuggets, curly fries and fish sticks! He blew out the candle in his fish stick! Creativity counts when you don't want to go back to the grocery store!

By the way this message is for my love.....Baby you are the KING of making tea for me and there is nothing like waking up and eating the HOMEMADE oatmeal or cream of wheat you make for me. Thank you for being such an awesome and loving man! I am so blessed!

Thanks to EVERYONE!!

Wow, another year gone by, another year closer to 40! I know, I didn’t make a post on my birthday, but it was done INTENTIONALLY !!! The less I think about my b-day, the less I think about how much older I’m getting. But it was a great one none the less. My wonderful grandmother cooked me some of the best fried chicken in the south, and even made me one of her famous made-from-scratch carrot cakes. Yes, she even make the cream-cheese icing from scratch… I dare you to tell me your grandmother is better!!! :-) I love ya, Maw-Maw, you're the best!! Thanks for giving me the best birthday lunch a man could ask for.. Ashley and Dakota should did enjoy themselves as well. Hopefully Dakota won't tell his Nana that your food is better….

Overall we had a great weekend, we got moved into the house, got unpacked, and cooked a whole lot on the new grill. After being without a outdoor grill for 18 months I sure did some catching up this past weekend. I broke the grill in with some wings that my brother still says were burned… but he must have still enjoyed them b/c he ate like 15 of em.. He's just jealous b/c my grill is bigger and better! Thanks to my wonderful Mother and StepFather for buying me all the grill nessecaties for my B-day, GREAT PRESENT!!

Last night was a hoot, I was outside grilling burgers for the 4th, and before I knew it my realtor and his kids show up looking for a bar-be-cue that I'm planning on having this Friday. Good to know that realtors pay close attention to detail… :-) Anyway, they came at just the right time to enjoy some of the best Bacon Cheesburgers, I really do think I could give "Cookout" a run for their money… We all had a great time, and enjoyed the neighborhood fireworks. You could defintely tell who actually "crossed" the border to get the better ones….

I would like to end this post, but expressing a BIG THANK YOU, to all my family, friends, and loved ones who helped make this weekend one that I will never forget. Thanks for all the wonderful b-day and housewarming gifts, and help with the move. I can't wait to see you all again this weekend as we celebrate our housewarming together with even more family and friends… I just hope we have enough parking!

-- And a quick note to my baby: You will never beat me in FORZA, but I love you baby… Keep Trying! --

Happy Birthday Baby!

This blog is for you baby on your birthday! This is a great day because every special day is a first for us! I hope this birthday is awesome and you enjoy every moment of it! Thank you for spending it with us. I look forward to 70 more years of birthdays with you. (Well that would put you at 101 years old....sounds good to me!) Look out because I will be practicing Forza and do intend to beat you one day when you least expect it even though it was your birthday present!
I love you and Happy Birthday!

Confessions of a Pastor...

Pastor Steven, you flat brought it today!!!

Pastor preached the first of his five sermons on his series titled, "Confessions of a Pastor". His sermon today was centered around his first confession of "I struggle with the same sins over and over again"..

This is powerful. And this is respectful. How many preachers do you know would bring their own struggles to their congregration in order to help them better their walk with God..

..That's Steven Furtick, and that's what sets him apart!

His application point of his sermon today spoke right to my heart, See below.

For those that continue to struggle with the same sins do the following:

1. Hate the sin..
2. Starve the sin..
3. OutSmart the sin...

"When God saves you, it's instant.... But God changes you little by little..."

I love this! I love Elevation Church!

It's Ours!

How exciting to watch tons of blue ink flow onto several ....several more pieces of paper that make 101 Silverleaf Court ours!!!! SO exciting and now the fun begins of unpacking, decorating, deciding where to put who and what. I am excited to know that by next week this time we will be in there! Our kids have new beds and are all asking about what is going to be in there room. All Dakota and Will want are the XBOX and a tv and Bethany ....gets her very own room! I am so thankful that God has placed such a wonderful house in our possession to turn into a home! I can hear the patter of little feet running around and playing hide and go seek. (This is a great house for that ...these kids will be lost for hours!) I can smell the grill cooking up something good to eat.....Tim is SO excited about grilling. If you are invited over in the next six months be prepared to eat something grilled because I know my baby will be doing the cooking! Gotta go do some work.

Nothing Without You

I know I said my next post would be my thoughts on Atlantafest, and I hate to disappoint, but I have to share a song that God laid on my heart this morning...

As I was sitting at my desk today, with my Ipod on a random shuffle, (which is rare because I'm pretty much wearing out one album a day depending on my mood), I was in the mood to let God speak to me through His music..His choice.. And boy did He ever... About midway though the morning, I heard a song that really spoke to my heart, a song that I could not just listen to just once, a song that expresses the way I feel about my Savior..

I would not be where I'm at today, without His loving mercy and grace...
I would be Nothing Without You God...

Nothing Without You - Bebo Norman
Take these hands and lift them up
For I have not the strength to praise You near enough
For I have nothing, I have nothing without You

Take my voice and pour it out
Let it sing the songs of mercy I have found
For I have nothing, I have nothing without You

Chorus:
All my soul needs
Is all Your love to cover me
So all the world will see
That I have nothing without You

Take my body and build it up

May it be broken as an offering of love
For I have nothing, I have nothing without You

All my soul needs
Is all Your love to cover me
So all the world will see
But I love You

With all my heart
With all my soul
With all my mind
And all the strength I can find

All my soul needs
Is all Your love to cover me
So all the world will see
I have nothing

Take my time here on earth
And let it glorify all that You are worth
For I am nothing, I am nothing, I am nothing without You

12:01 am... Only 3 more days...

Until move day!!!! Thank the LORD!!! I've about had all I can take of this cramped apartment.. Now don't get me wrong, it defintely served it's purpose, and at least the kids got some swims out of the pool!

To the left here, is our new house! Isn't she beautiful! We got a great deal, and God worked it out nicely for everything to fall in the place for us. It's located in the quaint little town of Mount Holly, NC, which is just outside Charlotte. We close this Wednesday, and move on Friday! (Thanks Mom & John) for the help! At least someone in our families loves us ;-).. I promise, you will eat the best steak of your life on Friday night! "Outback" will be calling me for the receipe!

Tonight I realized just how bad I hate moving.. You think I would have remember how bad it was considering I did it seven times in two years when I was at ASU. That's "little" ASU, as in Appalachian State, for anyone who is reading this thinking I may have went to Arizona State... But anyway, back to my point, moving sucks! But packing...Oh, it's even worse. You know why, because you can't get it done from stopping and checking out all the little knick-knacks that you haven't seen in forever, reading all the cards that you got for your birthday 3 years ago that you still had stuck in a drawer, and debating on whether or not to keep the stuff you really don't need.

And the clothes... Wow, how much you accumulate over 18 months is mind-boggling. My brother is going to love me, b/c I have 2 trash bags full of clothes just for him!

Anyway, it's 12:23 AM, I'm tired, I got 2 more days of packing ahead of me, and it's bedtime..

Until next time...

My Next Post: Reflections of AtlantaFest 2007

My way home

What a day! There is nothing better than to know I get to come home to a sweet man! My drive is over an hour one way and I am looking forward to the day when we move in and I can work from home some during the week! Tomorrow is Beep Ball day at work and we will be playing the blind team from the Industries for the Blind. We are blind folded and hit a beeping softball! Let's hope I hit the ball and the ball doesn't hit my face! OK...I am starving and ready to eat. I can' t wait until we cook in our new house! Home cooking....YUM! Please don't think I will be the cook b/c we all know Tim will be the head chef!

What a Surprise...and I am not even talking about this new blog!

Well, where do I begin but to say WOW! Finally a blog of our very own to share our life together! This is a wonderful surprise that my sweetie put together (b/c he is so dang smart!) How blessed I am to have such a wonderful, God-loving man in my life. We just got from home from Mosaic an awesome praise and worship service in the Artisy district of Charlotte. Tim and I LOVE to eat great food so he took me to Cabo Fish Taco for dinner before the service. KABOOM....we had Mahi tacos and baby those are good. Now for most of you fish tacos does not sound like a meal you want to take a bite of ...just like me when I heard we were going to eat them. I learned early on in our relationship....probably day one or two that Tim and I eat and enjoy most of the same things so I trust him and they were fabulous.

OK let me go ahead and explain the way I write...well it is generally the way I talk which usually jumps subjects and skips around....grammer ok as long as I use the spellcheck.

I am so excited about this! There are so many things I want to say and talk about and eventually I will get to all of them. I can start by saying the title of this blog..."What a Surprise...and I am not even talking about this new blog" is all about the day I met Tim online. Most of you probably know we met online using one of those matching systems which I will not us the name of and give credit to b/c they are continually emailing us and asking if we want to sign back up and find the "love of our life". Hello!!!!! We already opted out and told you we did that! Anyway enough of that. (On a side note anytime I hear their commercial music I do my little happy dance!!!! Well I guess I probably just let you in on who the company is!)

It all started with just a hello and I liked his answers to my questions . Well after I found out how much he loved God, loved Duke and the movie, "The Notebook" it was all over and I was hooked! By the way did I mention what a hunk he is and still is and is still constantly working out daily in the gym for me, his woman, and well only he will know what this is about but I can not wait until football season starts and it's PANTHER Sunday at our house!

Did I mention we have a new house!!! Only 5 more days and we can start unpacking boxes in our new house. I guess that means we should start packing some of the boxes here first!

Have I mentioned how alike we are? Let's see.....our first date was oh about 11 or 12 hours. We started off with lunch just to see how that would go. Secretly I was so excited to met him I changed clothes 10 times and just prayed all the way there that God would have His hand in our time together. After lunch we decided to ride to a park and talk. Well we rode around for I couldn't tell you how long and finally decided to buy a map. After putting gas in the truck (oh yeah he bought a new truck and had it for about 5 days and after meeting me and deciding that traveling to Welcome in a gas guzzzling truck would be costly he traded for the Honda...see he was already a brilliant man!) About 4 hours later on a park bench we got hungry again (told you we like to eat) and went to Carraba's. After that our first movie "Reign on Me". We walked out of that theater hand in hand and I didn't want to go home. So not even 4 months later we are buying a house, starting a life and have never looked back.

Tim and I share so much in common from loving God, great food, movies, Christian music, cinnamon crunch bagels with honey walnut cream cheese, sports, being active, loving our kids and well I could go on and on. But the most awesome thing for me everyday is watching him be the man of God that loves me, our kids and loves life. There is nothing hotter in a man than watching him give praise to God. We just got back from AtlantaFest (see Tim's blog for website...if you love God and Christian music you have to go with us next year!) and had the most awesome time together. God blesses our time so presciously. I am in awe of how Tim prays....even over food it is something that just reaches my heart. Powerful stuff.

To all of my single friends......It's worth the wait to find the man that God has in store for you!
To all of Tim' single friends.....jump on the wagon and follow him to PEAK and try and catch up to the guns my baby is packing!
I have found my joy. God has placed joy in my heart and everyday I wake up with it!
Tim makes me a better mom and Christian. He is my soul mate and I never want to spend another day without his smile, his eyes, his music and his ability to make taquitos and mac and cheese at 11:00 at night. I have never had a single doubt about Tim, our relationship or how lightening fast we have moved. I know that the online service sent us each others profile but God was the beginning and has been with us every day.

This is an awesome journey that we get to share with each other and the people brave enough to read our blogs because get ready we tell it like it is! We love to laugh, sing and have fun so maybe soon we can blog a movie ..(I don't know if we can do that but I will ask my technologically gifted hunk of a man and see if we can!)

To Tim,

Baby everyday with you is a gift from God and I promise to love you and always keep Dominos on speed dial when the grill breaks or my cooking goes haywire! I am so excited about moving into our new house and raising our family together! You are my everything and I choose you to spend my life with. I am sitting on the couch and watching you work. So focused and good-looking! I promise to always love you and to never touch your tv / stereo without supervision!

Thank you for being such a faithful man of God! Thank you for taking us to church and praying with us and putting us first. Thank you for being silly with me, taking care of me when I don't feel good and being you.
I love you

My First Post - Dedicated to the woman I love..

First off, I want to say HEY!! Hey to whoever might stumble across this blog or whoever might be pointed to this blog by me or Ashley. We thought this would be a cool little venture for us to do together to open up to others about the wonderful time we share with each other, and have someway to document our experience together as well as hopefully share with others the wonderful blessings our Heavenly Father has bestowed upon our relationship now and in our future marriage together as Husband and Wife.

She has no idea I'm writing this write now, nor does she know I've created this blog. This has been something we have been talking about for the last month of so, but honestly, I've just been too lazy to do it. Well, maybe lazy is a bad word... let's use.. busy.. :-).. Yea, that sounds much better. This first post is more or less pointed and dedicated to "my girl", the woman that blesses me by just her mere presence.. I did not realized that being "loved" the right way felt sooo good! If there happens to be any ladies out there, that need to know the right way to love and care for their man, then you need to shoot Ashley an email! She will surly lead you in the right direction. I want the world to know that she has turned my world upside down... and I mean that in a good way... Ok, maybe I should say that she has turned my life "right-side" up.

Before I met Ashley, I was so up and down, back and forth, left and right... I was probably the most indecisive and flakiest person you could have ever met. I never made a decision and stuck to it. This included my work, my relationships, and most importantly, my faith and salvation. I even lost my best friend in the entire world b/c I couldn't commit to anything! I was just so full of broken promises and compulsive lies that he thought it was better to disassociate himself with me before I pulled him down as well. (I will defintely expand on this later..) However, through the wonderful grace and mercy, of Jesus Christ, and the prayer of others, He placed someone into my life that would change it profoundly. I will let her get into the details of how we met, all I will say is thank God for online dating :-)!! I knew from that first date, which was 12 hours of course, a personal record for me...I knew it was something that only God could set up. God had to be involved for a woman that beautiful to want to hang out with me for 12 hours on a first date! I'm sure we will both expand more on our first date in later posts, but I just want her to know that not only am I a better man today because of her... but I'm..a stronger man...a better father...a more dedicated Christian...I could go on and on about how she has strengthed me in so many ways, but I want to take the time and go over each one with specific examples on this blog.

I'm so glad we have decided to do this, b/c not only will it provide us with a "virtual" scrapbook of the wonderful relationship we have with each other, but more importantly we hope others will read this and realize that when you truly meet the person that was in God's Will for you to meet, you will be happier, you lives will be fuller, and you smiles will be brighter..

So to my dearest Ashley, this post if for you baby! Let's rock this thing like Family Force 5 just did at Atlantfest 2007! I know most of you have no idea what that reference means, so just follow the links and put the pieces together! You will notice in the coming blog posts, they we are both Christian Music freaks, and we will reference alot of music and artists you probably never heard of. We will do our best to use links so you can enjoy the sounds of our favorite bands!
